State of Eldritch Earth

I really hope that everyone is enjoying their time in Eldritch Earth. We're getting to a point where we all have things we are building and maintaining in this world of lets-pretend alternate Pennsylvania. I suppose I wanted to get a little bead on where we want to go ultimately. We've got Dillsburg to the West that we need to deal with. There are the monsters of Deadman's Town across the river to the East. Toward the Northern mountains, Dave and I have some ancient Atlantean threats and to the South the Red Lion cannibals are nipping at the heels of anyone who passes to Kingston.

What is the endgame? Do we fight a war against the Danes to the far East? Do the monsters come for us and we have to fight for what's ours? Maybe the king calls on all the knights to take up arms for him? What do we want to do in the future? What sounds fun?

  1. I'd like to see Angus become Thane of Hill Camp at the end of 1130.

Then, after a quick progression through the winter, perhaps have 1-2 other characters begin to work on new settlements (maybe one to the West, one over the river?).

As that proceeds, we have to deal with the other Lords of the shire, especially Bishop Osmund, and Lord Ulfwin, but the others too.

I totally want to see the king call out the army at some unexpected and inconvenient point.

However, I see the monsters as the growing menace and the forefront concern.

We should also have to deal with the cannibals once and for all, but maybe that's in 1132. Defeat them on the ground and discover the terrible secret of how they're connected to the Atlanteans and some local rival.

  2. Seems like it might be a good time to deal with the cannibals on our next trip to Kingston. RAMPAGE!

    1. If we can secure a safe travel route from Kingston to our northern border I think the bandits to the west can wait a bit longer. Maybe even convince them to become a legit community.
